Resonance is seeking candidates to serve as Chief of Party (COP) for an anticipated USAID-funded project based in Tanzania, focused on marine biodiversity conservation. The 5-year contract will incorporate a series of interventions that support and strengthen capacity for biodiversity conservation in a manner that i) reduces the use of illegal and unsustainable fishing; ii) improves the governance and management of coastal land and seascapes; and iii) improves policy development and capacity to implement policies. These interventions together will reduce threats to marine and coastal biodiversity in Tanzania while moving Tanzanian institutions further on their journey to self-reliance.
The COP will be responsible for overall leadership, management, and technical direction of the project. As the project’s leader, the COP will be the principal project planner, designer, and implementer and will ensure that all deliverables are high-quality and delivered to USAID on time.

They will be the primary POC with the Mission and will ensure all stages of project implementation work to meet Mission goals and priorities. As primary POC, they will work directly with the COR to drive internal project and Mission learning and will ensure that approaches are adjusted to respond appropriately and effectively to task resourcing and implementation requirements.
